Avandia Manufacturer Agrees to Pay $90 Million in Settlement, Including $2.67 Million to North Carolina
GlaxoSmithKline will pay $90 million in a settlement with 37 states and the District of Columbia regarding claims about the sale and marketing of its popular diabetes drug Avandia. The settlement will include $2.67 million to be paid to the state of North Carolina, including $400,000 for the State Health Plan.
